Sharp, peppery evening primrose and young radish leaves form the adventurous base of this whimsical herb salt. Bright and earthy Turkistan oregano and cool mints intertwine in the spring escapade. Delicate onion notes are added by using microscopically sliced chives, while sorrel contributes a slight grassy, lemony essence, complemented by sumac and wild notes of chicory and thyme create depth. The salt base is crafted by adding fresh, tiny flecks of spring red radish drenched and a medley of cracked white, black, and red peppercorns to the Maldon salt. Sauteing or dredging garden radishes and butter and this herbal salt seems clear-cut, but so does showering your grilled steak or rimming your bloody Mary glass with it.
